PRP used for Aesthetics
AP Medical Group is committed to providing the best care for our patients. We do this by offering a full range of medical services, including aesthetic services. One of the latest aesthetic procedures we provide utilizes PRP, or platelet rich plasma. PRP is used to rejuvenate the skin, making it appear more luminous, firmer, and younger.
The benefit of using a naturally sourced product like plasma is that the body recognizes it easily. We’re not using a foreign product that could cause an allergic reaction or that’s toxic to the body. After an injection, the body goes to work, healing itself and making the skin look fresher and better than ever. This type of aesthetic treatment is longer lasting than other injected treatments. It’s a targeted form of treatment, too, which means we use it exactly where you need it.
Not only is PRP wonderful for getting glowing, gorgeous skin, there are numerous other health benefits. We use this product for people who want to look beautiful, who have pain, and who are dealing with sexual dysfunction. And that’s just the beginning!
Other benefits include
- Pain relief for osteoarthritis
- Hair restoration
- Sexual dysfunction in both men and women
- Eliminates dark under eye circles
- Muscle strains
- Ligament strains
- Rotator cuff problems
- Herniated discs and other back pain issues
Las Vegas Aesthetics Services: Platelet Rich Plasma Treatments
PRP is different from any other aesthetic wrinkle treatment on the market. Hyaluronic acid fillers are made up of solid materials that fill in the lines and wrinkles in the skin. These fillers last for approximately eighteen months at the most. After that, another filler treatment is needed. Platelet rich plasma treatments, on the other hand, are not solid fillers. This is a treatment that allows the skin to naturally rejuvenate. The plasma stimulates collagen growth, something we all start to lose as we get older. With the collagen rejuvenated, the skin plumps up and goes from being drawn and tired to youthful and radiant! The great thing about PRP is that it can be safely used where facial fillers aren’t. There are definite side-effects of such fillers, some short-term, some long-term. People who use plasma don’t have to worry about this. What happens during a PRP treatment session? We will remove a small amount of your blood and prepare it for the treatment. Then, we will clean your skin to prevent any sort of infection from occurring. After the plasma is ready, we inject it into your skin wherever you need it. It can be placed around the eyes, forehead, cheeks, and mouth. The whole procedure takes approximately fifteen minutes from start to finish, and it is relatively painless. Results take a few weeks, sometimes up to a month. After about three to four weeks, you should notice your skin getting tighter, lines and wrinkles minimizing, and even your pores will appear smaller. As with all injections, there will likely be some mild bruising or redness. Facial skin is very delicate and sensitive. And there are a lot of blood vessels and nerve endings. When a needle is used to inject any substance into the facial skin, some swelling, bruising and redness is bound to occur. However, it will go away within a few days.
What Is PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA)
Platelet rich plasma is considered a groundbreaking therapy, both for general medicine and aesthetic medicine. PRP is made up of your own blood. We remove a small amount and then spin it down so the volume is reduced. The result is a concentrated amount of platelets. Platelets are the components of our blood that help with the clotting process. They also contain growth factors that cause cells to repair themselves. This means that the soft tissues of the body—skin, tendons, muscles, and ligaments—can not only heal, but completely repair. Naturally, when we injure ourselves, the first response of our body is to send platelets to the area. Platelets start the healing process, and have also been known to attract growth factors, including stem cells, to help with healing. As you can imagine, injecting a concentrated amount of platelets into the skin or an injured part of the body will accelerate the healing process. The result is reduced pain, healing (even in cases of repeated injury), and rejuvenated tissues. It’s no surprise that the rejuvenating properties of platelet rich plasma have been able to help people with alopecia to start growing hair again. Nor is it surprising that a person can look years younger after a facial injection.
Before & After: What Can Be Expected From Our Award Winning Practice
When patients first come into our office for a PRP treatment, their skin looks worn, wrinkled, and tends to sag. Three to four weeks after treatment, patients begin to notice that their skin appears tighter and firmer. The wrinkles begin to smooth out and their skin begins to develop a healthy glow. Patients are excited by the treatment because their skin looks so much younger and healthier.
PRP used for Sexual Disfunction - men
Erectile dysfunction is an embarrassing phenomenon for men. There are plenty of medications on the market not to treat the disorder. Unfortunately, these medications can have adverse side effects, typically related to the heart. PRP can actually be used to treat EDT and, because it’s all-natural, the side-effects are almost non-existent. Called the Priapus Shot, an injection is delivered directly to the penis and promotes new tissue growth, virtually eliminating EDT.
PRP used for Sexual Disfunction - women
Many women suffer with low libido as they get older. Platelet rich plasma can be used to help them get to a healthier level sexually. An injection of PRP is delivered around the pelvis area. The tissues in this area begin to rejuvenate, heightening sexual desire and pleasure.
